At Generations, we're not just a salon - we're a family business with over 55 years of experience. Our story began with Dee Ralston, Susan's dad, who owned and operated Ralston's Barber Shop. Susan joined him in 1990, and after his retirement, she took the reins and transformed the shop into Ralston's Barber and Beauty Shop. In 2005, Susan and her daughter, Sara, relocated to our current location and rebranded the business as Generations Salon.

Meet Our Team

Susan, the OG Boss Babe: With over 30 years of experience in the industry, Susan is the mastermind behind Generations Salon. She attended Stacey's Hands of Champions Beauty School in 1986 and later worked as an instructor before joining her father's shop. Susan's passion lies in connecting with her clients, making them feel great, and bringing out the best in them. She believes that a trip to the salon is not just about looking good but also about feeling great.

Meet Sara, the Extension Guru: Sara joined the family business in 2000, graduated from ISU Cosmetology school, and quickly made a name for herself in the industry. She's been coaching new stylists since 2005 and thrives on watching them grow and succeed. Sara's expertise lies in haircutting, specializing in dry cutting, razor cuts, and pixies. She's also a certified Invisible Bead Extension artist, obsessed with the transformative power of hair extensions.
