Our Story

At Sister Sister African Hair Braiding and Weaving Salon, we are proud to have been serving the Houston community for over two decades. Our journey began in 1997 when our founders, Adji and Fatim, had a dream of revolutionizing the hair braiding industry. They wanted to provide high-quality services from well-trained hair braiders, allowing everyone to achieve their hair goals. Our founders started their career in New York City, working alongside their sisters at Heidi & JoJo's Salon in Jamaica, Queens, in 1989. After moving to Houston, they opened Heidi & JoJo's, which became the first African Hair Braiding Salon in Texas. Today, we are proud to have a loyal customer base of over a hundred Texans each month. Our success is attributed to the dedication of our customers and hair braiders.

Our Services
