Our booth rental concept empowers each designer to explore their entrepreneurial spirit and the art of hair styling while being inspired by the creative company that surrounds them. Founded in 2003 by Apryl Picnia and Jenny (Johnson) Kisiel, Pure Hair Design aimed to create a salon space for creative stylists to become entrepreneurs, offering a space where like-minded professionals could come together creatively, share the same space, and each make a business for themselves. Today, we are proud to have a team of independent, determined, creative, business-minded stylists who share the same goals and contribute to the Pure community.
Our Services
At Pure Hair Design, we understand that each person is unique, including their hair. That's why we create custom looks to perfectly complement our clients' natural traits and individual lifestyles. All services are custom-priced depending on hair length, texture, and style, and free consultations are often required to ensure the exact right way to achieve the desired look. Our services include:
- *Color*: We offer a wide range of color services, including highlights, lowlights, root touch-ups, and balayage. Our stylists have extensive training in Goldwell, Joico, and Redken hair color and are confident in creating natural-looking, long-lasting color.
- *Cut + Style*: Our stylists are experts in creating the perfect cut and style for each client. We believe that every person who walks through our doors is an individual, and their hair follows suit. We work closely with each client to understand their preferences and create a hairstyle that complements their features and lifestyle.
- *Smoothing and Texture Services*: We offer various smoothing and texture services to help our clients achieve the perfect hair texture. Our stylists are trained in various techniques, including keratin treatments and Brazilian blowouts.
- *Special Occasion Styling*: Whether it's a wedding, prom, or another special occasion, our stylists are here to help our clients look and feel their best. We offer various special occasion styling services, including updos, braids, and formal styling.
Meet Our Stylists
At Pure Hair Design, each stylist manages their own schedule and bookings. Our talented team of stylists includes:
- *Jenny Kisiel*: Jenny's goal is to create great looks through color and perfect, balanced cuts that last up to 12 weeks. She began her career in the early '90s in Indianapolis, IN, and, after building a large clientele, she decided she needed a challenge and started over in Boston, MA.
- *Apryl Picnia*: Apryl loves creating natural-looking color by using fine weaving and slicing in combination; sometimes using up to four colors! She has been a prominent stylist in the Boston area for more than 35 years and has studied cutting and styling in Paris and London.
- *Angela Stern*: Angela specializes in precision cutting and loves creating classic, timeless styles. She has been a stylist for over 20 years and has extensive training in various cutting techniques.
- *Jason Holmes*: Jason is a master colorist and specializes in creating natural-looking, sun-kissed highlights. He has been a stylist for over 15 years and has extensive training in various color techniques.
- *Isabel McKenna*: Isabel is a versatile stylist who specializes in various cutting and styling techniques. She has been a stylist for over 10 years and has extensive training in various styling techniques.
