Our Story

The Ivana Di Piero Hair Studio has been a cornerstone of the Harwood Heights community since 1991. Fueled by a passion for beauty and a commitment to innovation, we've built a reputation for providing exceptional hair, nail, and make-up services. Our founder, Ivana Di Piero, brought her Italian heritage and artistic flair to America, establishing the salon shortly after graduating from Dominican University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in fashion merchandising. While she initially pursued higher education, she recognized her true calling lay in the transformative power of beauty.

Her journey began at the age of sixteen in Ridgewood High School's vocational program in association with the prestigious Ippolito School of Cosmetology. This was where her love affair with hairdressing blossomed, paving the way for a career that would span decades. After receiving her cosmetology license and completing her studies, Ivana worked tirelessly, balancing a burgeoning career and college aspirations.

Upon marrying her husband Frank in 1991, their shared dream took shape with the help of Frank's surprise - the lease to a salon space. Ivana's vision came to life as she transformed this blank canvas into a haven of beauty, meticulously crafting an environment that felt welcoming and luxurious.

Over three decades, Ivana Di Piero Hair Studio has grown beyond its beginnings, expanding into a free-standing building and assembling a team of talented and dedicated professionals.
