Our Story

For over 40 years, Wavelengths Hair Design has been a staple in the Grand Island community, providing exceptional hair care services to our clients. Our story began in 1982 when Ingrid Kinney, a skilled barber herself, opened the salon. With the help of her father, Tony, who immigrated to Niagara Falls from Germany, Ingrid learned the trade and eventually passed on her skills to her daughters, Danielle and Erica, and their best friend, Jennifer. Today, Danielle, Erica, and Jennifer, who are also the owners of the salon, strive to maintain the same high standards of quality and customer service that Ingrid and Tony established all those years ago.

• Jacqueline Quinn: Senior stylist, Jacquie enjoys the bond she forms with her clients and loves making them feel confident and beautiful.
• Mary Kwandrans: Senior stylist, Mary specializes in balayage services and color applications for red hair.
• Julie Schopp: Senior stylist, Julie excels in blonding services and loves making connections with her clients.
• Emma Sickles: Our newest addition, Emma specializes in fashion color application using Pulp Riot color and reverse balayage services.
• Katherine Stoddard: Stylist, Katie enjoys accentuating clients' beauty and haircuts, which allow her to be creative and perfect her work.
• Carly Pannullo: Assistant turned stylist, Carly excels in blonding services and enjoys keeping the salon running smoothly in her free time.
• Daelin Thomas: Stylist, Daelin specializes in highlights and any service with color, and channels her creative energy into photography and interior design when not working.
