Our Story

Our founder, Hideo, brings six years of experience as a barber from Japan and a passion for American styles. After acquiring his cosmetologist license in 1986, he opened HIDEO HAIR DESIGN in Pasadena in 1996. With a philosophy rooted in both American and Japanese perspectives, Hideo believes in mastering the basics of hair design before embracing the latest trends and techniques. His goal is to create a balanced look that considers each client's life, favorite color, body type, and personality.
